ABOUT THIS LODGE

The gateway to the Manu clouds

Wayqecha is Peru's premier cloud forest research hub, protecting 1,450 acres of high-altitude forest where the Andes drop into the Amazon basin. Run by the non-profit ACCA (Conservación Amazónica), the lodge serves as a vital buffer for Manu National Park. Your stay directly supports climate change research and the protection of endemic species that thrive in this misty, high-biodiversity corridor.

  • Inside the reserve - 580 hectares of protected montane forest and puna
  • Canopy Walkway - 146 meters of bridges suspended through the treetops
  • Endemic hotspot - Home to the Andean (Spectacled) bear and rare orchids
  • 330+ bird species - A world-class destination for high-altitude birding
  • Direct impact - Every booking funds global climate and ecology research
