About this experience

An immersion into the Andean Cloud Forest

The Andean Cloud Forest 3D-2N is a focused immersion into the sensitive and biodiverse transition between the high Andes and the Amazon basin. This journey explores how altitude, moisture, and forest structure shape life at the edge of two worlds. Rather than covering long distances, the experience concentrates on depth—walking forest trails, observing wildlife behaviour, and engaging with active conservation landscapes. This program is ideal for travellers seeking a meaningful nature experience within a short timeframe, offering scientific context, sensory immersion, and direct contact with one of the planet's most climate-sensitive environments.

  • EcoDroneView® aerial canopy flight included
  • ForestWhisper® 360° sound immersion at night
  • Wayqecha Cloud Forest Lodge stay at a living research station
  • Andean Cock-of-the-Rock behavioral observation at a local lek
  • Tres Cruces sunrise viewpoint over the Andean-Amazonian transition

COMMON questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything else you might want to know before booking.

We believe nature is for everyone. Whether you are a seasoned adventurer or new to ecotourism, our experiences are designed to be inclusive and enriching. You'll have the opportunity to connect deeply with nature, from the lush rainforests to the diverse wildlife that inhabits these areas. However, it's important to note that our trips take you off the beaten path.
The night before departure, we will hold an online briefing to provide detailed information about the upcoming trip. This is an excellent opportunity to review the itinerary, answer any questions, and ensure you are fully prepared for our incredible immersive experience.
Our pickup and drop-off point is Cusco's Plaza Mayor, or a centrally located hotel in Cusco. If requested at least 3 days in advance, we can also arrange pickup from accommodations within a 5-minute drive of the plaza.
Yes! We need to coordinate this ahead of time, via email or at the briefing. Please note that your hotel may also offer this service.
Cloud forest & rainforest weather is unpredictable, light rain is common and part of the experience. Rubber boots and rain gear are provided. Some activities might change based on the weather.
Altitude can be a consideration on some of our routes, as all journeys begin in Cusco (3,400 m.a.s.l.) and road transfers may pass through elevations above 4,000 meters. However, most of our lodges and rainforest destinations are located at much lower elevations. Wayqecha, at 2,900 m.a.s.l., is the highest lodge we operate; the rest are generally below 900 m.a.s.l. We usually recommend spending 1–2 days acclimatising in Cusco before departure. The mountain roads can also be winding, so guests sensitive to motion sickness may wish to bring medication for the drive.
There is satellite WiFi available. Phone signal is unavailable at the lodge and in some areas during the road trip. We'll provide emergency satellite communication if needed.
Yes. Private departures are available for groups of 2–8 on any date, subject to lodge availability. Contact us via WhatsApp or email for private booking requests. A custom itinerary is also available through our Tailor Made program.
