About this lodge

Where the Andes meet the Amazon

Manu Bio Lodge has over 3,065 hectares of protected tropical forest ranging from 500 to 1,200 m.a.s.l. Located in the Kosñipata Valley, the lodge is accessible by a 6-hour scenic drive from Cusco. Adjacent to a premier research station, the lodge is run by the Peruvian non-profit ACCA (Conservación Amazónica), with a team of resident biologists and specialists who live on-site to monitor biodiversity and sustainable agriculture. Every stay directly funds field-based conservation and the protection of pristine forests at the foothills of the Eastern Andes.

Yes, electricity with 220V outlets in each room for phone and camera charging. Evening lighting throughout the lodge and common areas.
Moderate. Daily trails vary, some are gentle, others more demanding. A reasonable level of fitness is expected. Minimum age is 8 years old.
Yes, from age 8. The guides are experienced with young guests and adapt the pace accordingly.
Rubber boots and rain gear are provided. Bring: quick-dry trousers, waterproof jacket, insect repellent (DEET), sunscreen, binoculars, headlamp, and camera. All details are provided per experience booked.
